瑞士的簽證申請和大多數(shù)西方國家差不多，但依然有一些大同小異之處，比如申請費用等。現(xiàn)將瑞士簽證的種類和和申辦時所需文件列出如下。
基本資料：
護照（自離開瑞士后起算，護照至少須有六個月有效期）；
身份證復(fù)印件（外國人士，中國華僑居留認證、復(fù)印件）；
2寸近照一張；
本人親自簽名之申請表一份。
簽證費用：大人900元，未滿十八歲450元（未滿十八歲之申請人，表格須加父或母簽名并附上簽名人之護照復(fù)印件，若父母未能同行出國，須附家長同意書）
一，觀光簽證
基本資料、費用，來回機票正、復(fù)印件，下一站國家的簽證；在職認明（從申請日起一個月赴瑞士，停留不超過30天者及已有申領(lǐng)簽證者，可免在職認明）
二，商務(wù)簽證
基本資料，在職證明，邀請函：瑞士公司來的商務(wù)邀請函或往來聯(lián)絡(luò)傳真。商務(wù)簽證900元，兩年1800元，三年2700元。
三，訪問簽證
基本資料、費用，來回機票正復(fù)印件；邀請函或擔(dān)保聲明書；一個月短期居留者，提供瑞士親友之邀請或傳真，欲長期居留者，須向外事警察局提出擔(dān)保聲明，表格可向本單位索取填寫后寄至瑞士，由親友向其戶籍所在地之外事警察局提出申請；簽證申請表格及文件送至本辦事處，擔(dān)保手續(xù)經(jīng)審核通過后（通常須一個半月），可持護照前來簽證。
四，短期進修簽證
基本資料、簽證費，來回機票正、復(fù)印件；入學(xué)許可書。以上所述為送件基本資料，依狀況如有所需、將進一步要求其它文件。
五，瑞士學(xué)生簽證申請
三份填妥并簽名之新簽證申請表，申請表可直接向瑞士商務(wù)辦事處索取；三張2寸近照；三份入學(xué)許可書確認書復(fù)印件；一份護照復(fù)印件；某些特殊案件瑞士外事警察局有可能會要求進一步文件。
居留超過3個月以上的.學(xué)生即需申請學(xué)生簽證，任何外國人若計劃在瑞士求學(xué)超過3個月以上即需申請學(xué)生簽證。此過程可能須花2個月，甚至更久的時間才能接到回復(fù)，一旦審核通過，則瑞士外事警察局將簽發(fā)授權(quán)書以便申請入境簽證。瑞士商務(wù)辦事處一旦接到此函后，申請者即可來辦理學(xué)生簽證。至于申請不超過3個月語言課程（含暑期班）的學(xué)生簽證，則僅需附上一份入學(xué)許可證及回程機票。此項手序只需3個工作日。需特別注意的是，勿以觀光簽證入境抵瑞士后再轉(zhuǎn)換成學(xué)生簽證，因為申請有可能為瑞士外事警察局拒絕。
